Dr Erin Bannink received her DVM from Michigan State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She completed internships in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery and then Medical Oncology, continuing as a Resident in Medical Oncology at the Animal Cancer and Imaging Center, Rochester Hills, MI. She became an American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Diplomat (Oncology) in 2008.

Dr Bannink received her IVAS Basic Certification in Veterinary Acupuncture in 2007 and qualified with a Graduate Diploma of Veterinary Chinese Herbal Medicine (CIVT) in 2016. Dr Bannink is in Specialist practice, Oncology and Complementary and Alternative Medicine, at Oakland Veterinary Referral Center, MI. She has published refereed articles in JAVMA on oncology subjects and spoken at a range of cancer and complementary and alternative veterinary medicine conferences
