In this lecture, Dr Erin Bannink will review published survival statistics in cases of canine hemangiosarcoma treated with splenectomy and chemotherapy. She will also compare traditionally treated patients to those treated in her oncology referral practice with herbal medicine and dietary management only, without chemotherapy. Attendees will learn the one factor that seems to be the key to longer survival time in canine splenic hemangiosarcoma cases based on statistical analysis of patient data. Dr Bannink will also discuss the various methods of treatment of splenic hemangiosarcoma in her practice and what clinicians should know when helping clients make care decisions for dogs diagnosed with splenic hemangiosarcoma.
Dr Bannink recently presented another webinar for CIVT, 'Liu Jun Zi Tang - Biomedical Mechanisms of Antiemetic Action & Appetite Support'. Click HERE for further information.
