Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) uses signs and symptoms of a patient that reflect physiological changes to identify patterns. The tongue being a highly vascular and muscular organ, innervated with nerves, with a large fluid supply and lymphatic drainage also reflects these physiological changes. There is no dermal covering over a tongue which provides a direct visual window into the inner workings of the body and presents a reliable guide to the TCM pattern, especially when conflicting manifestations arise. This webinar will cover concepts from the tongue map, colour, shape, movement, coating and moisture and give a visual guide to the changes in tongues and how one can recognise the tongue as an examination tool of TCM patterns. Dr Kate Millhouse presents this insightful webinar which will be a valuable diagnostic for all practitioners and pet owners to help to monitor the health of their pets and patients.
