Acupuncture has been used in animals for over 2500 years, but many people are still surprised to hear that acupuncture treatments are routinely performed on animals. This webinar will introduce the basic concepts of veterinary acupuncture to animal lovers and health professionals who are exploring this modality for use on animals under their care, or who would simply like to learn more about this ancient form of medicine. The emphasis will be on looking at patterns of imbalance and how the body can be brought back into balance using acupuncture needles, or with acupressure. You will leave the lecture with a good understanding of what acupuncture is, how it works, what signs the practitioner uses to make a diagnosis, Five Element theory to classify animal personalities, and able to list some acupressure points for common ailments.
